I create contemporary jewellery in silver applying 24 carat gold using the Asian technique Keum Boo; depletion gilding and burnishing gold foil onto silver surfaces. I develop forms and textured surfaces with relief patterns. Contrast is an important element of the finished surface which might be gold with satin silver or a tonal range achieved with oxidation. My collections are inspired by experiences and memories of places and cultures. They include organic and geometric motifs, shapes and forms.
