Using recycled Sterling Silver and traditional techniques, I create simple, contemporary jewellery that is stylish and accessible. My uncomplicated statement shape jewellery combines crisp geometric shapes with clean lines and organic textures. The pebble Collection is inspired by much-loved British beach visits and pebble stacking and evocative of the rich history of ancient standing stones and circles. My Hepworth Collection takes influence from the smooth, organic sculptures of St. Ives artist, Barbara Hepworth. Along with inserted shapes and lines to represent the veins and recesses of sea-worn stones, some of these pebble pieces have silk threads ‘strung’ into the negative spaces.
From bold necklaces to classic wristwear, earrings and rings, Polished Grey jewellery may be worn independently or together: comfortable, everyday jewellery to suit a broad range of style looks and is made to last. I have a BA Hons degree in Fine Art & Aesthetics from University of Wales, Cardiff and a previous career in graphic design, both of which still inform my work today.
