Justyna Medon, founder of Addicted to Patterns, is a printmaker, educator and wallpaper conservator based in the Garw Valley near Bridgend.
A 2022 QEST Scholar in Wallpaper Design & Conservation, Justyna specialises in hand-printed textiles and wallpapers that combine traditional craftsmanship with experimental printmaking and material-led design. Her work reflects a fascination with pattern, colour and surface, bringing historic techniques into a contemporary context.

Atcof | Memory explores how pattern becomes a vessel for remembering – how the surfaces we live with hold stories, gestures, and traces of the makers who shaped them.
The work brings together historic and contemporary hand‑printed wallpapers, revealing the dialogue between early 18th‑century craftsmanship and modern studio practice.
Alongside these wallpapers, the work presents a series of boxes covered in hand‑printed designs and individual drawings-built layer by layer to form multicoloured patterns.
Each piece reflects the slow, intentional processes of printmaking, where repetition becomes a form of preservation, and each layer adds to the narrative held within the surface.
Through these works, Atcof | Memory considers how craft connects past and present and how the act of printing by hand continues to carry memory forward, one impression at a time.
