I make ceramic and sterling silver jewellery inspired by the landscape and coast around my home in North Wales. Each piece is unique – I use monoprinting, wax resist and handpainting techniques and work intuitively. I make sketchbook drawings of the landscape as source material, particularly drawings of human marks on the land. The ceramics are high fired stoneware and porcelain, with matte glazes to give the jewellery a tactile quality. I often use platinum and gold to add detail to the fired ceramic surface, and finish with oxidised silver findings.
