I studied a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Falmouth University in 2006, where I discovered ceramics for the first I have continued to experiment with different clays, designs and decoration, developing my own style. Now, working full time from my garden studio in Cornwall, I hand throw and hand decorate unique, functional homewares in both stoneware and porcelain clays, alongside hand making small sculptural birds and animals. I use a limited colour palette and simple dot and dash designs, alongside more detailed botanical images in muted tones and matt and satin textures, which I achieve using a wax resist technique.
