With only 2 weeks to go, I wanted to tell you a story. A lobster-inspired Craft Festival love story to be precise…with a very French twist!
When theatre company, Kitsch n Sync performed at Craft Festival Wales last year, they fell in love with the festival and with one particular maker: Manda from Treefall Design, whose wonderful heirloom textile toys include a rather dashing French Lobster, complete with stripy T-shirt and jaunty curly moustache. Ooo là là!
Inspired by their new favourite crustacean, the Kitsch n Sync gals went away and created a brand-new walkabout act: Les Lobsters Français. Think stripy T-shirts, claws, curly moustaches, berets and French jazz…
They debuted Les Lobsters Français at Craft Festival Bovey Tracey and now they’re coming home to Craft Festival Wales, 11–13 September for their first performance at Cardigan Castle!
Who knew one textile lobster could inspire so much mischief? Well… I’m honestly not that surprised, there is always a healthy does of mischief around Treefall’s stand.

Pan berfformiodd y cwmni theatr, Kitsch n Sync, yng Ngŵyl Grefft Cymru y llynedd, fe syrthiasant mewn cariad â’r ŵyl ac ag un gwneuthurwr penodol: Manda o Treefall Design, y mae ei theganau tecstilau etifeddol rhyfeddol yn cynnwys Cimwch Ffrengig eithaf cain, ynghyd â chrys-T streipiog a mwstas cyrliog siriol. Ooo là là!
Wedi’u hysbrydoli gan eu cramenogion hoff newydd, aeth merched Kitsch n Sync i ffwrdd a chreu act newydd sbon: Les Lobsters Français. Meddyliwch am grysau-T streipiog, crafangau, mwstas cyrliog, berets a jazz Ffrengig…
Fe wnaethon nhw ddangos eu perfformiad cyntaf gyda Les Lobsters Français yng Ngŵyl Grefft Bovey Tracey ac maen nhw nawr yn dod adref i Ŵyl Grefft Cymru, 11–13 Medi ar gyfer eu perfformiad cyntaf yng Nghastell Aberteifi!
Pwy oedd yn gwybod y gallai un cimwch tecstilau ysbrydoli cymaint o ddrygioni? Wel… Dydw i ddim wedi synnu cymaint â hynny, mae yna bob amser lawer o ddrygioni o amgylch stondin Treefall.
