Nant Designs

Crisp white folded paper encased in what? A paper cover with a hand silkscreen printed design strengthened with cloth corners and spine, silk from a colourful vintage kimono, contemporary fabric or a piece of stencil printed Japanese paper. My books also combine both traditional bookbinding materials with vintage lace inserts or magic lantern slides to create more unconventional books.
Hand stitching and binding creates strong, long lasting books suitable for all purposes. Bindings vary- coptic stitching enables a book to lay flat and is ideal for albums and journals while classic case binding is suitable for diaries and notebooks. You will find these as well as buttonhole and bradel binding examples amongst my collection. Inside the books there will be drawing and watercolour paper, lined sheets for writing as well as pages designed for bullet journals, guest or address books.
