CRAFT FESTIVAL BOVEY TRACEY
I hope you enjoyed your visit to The Capital of Craft. It was an incredible experience.
Thank you for being part of Craft Festival’s 22nd Anniversary and making it extra special.
Thank you for being part of 10,000 visitors over the weekend with over 1000 children enjoying craft workshops. We hosted workshops, talks and had more demonstrations of making than ever before. Thank you to all our tutors, speakers, demonstrators, volunteers and the huge amount of people involved in setting up and running the Festival. I am eternally grateful.
It was so lovely to see you in Bovey Tracey and I hope you enjoyed meeting the makers.
We gave out some awards at the weekend too. The winners were:
Find a Maker Best in Show was awarded to Mirri Damer. They receive a free stand at Craft Festival 2026 and membership of Find a Maker for 2 years.
Find a Maker Best New Business Beatrix Bray receives as free membership of Find a Maker for 2 years.
The Tony Piper Memorial Award presented by Make South WestBear Joinery receives a showcase at Make South West HQ.
The Byre Gallery Award Rachael Plassard receives a showcase at The Byre Gallery.
TheAndy Christian Memorial Award for Ceramics was awarded to Hannah Sulek. They receive a showcase at Make South West HQ
Baxter’s Gallery Showcase Award, Faith Chevannes Art, receives a showcase at Baxter’s Gallery, Dartmouth.
Peer Award winner, chosen by our Exhibitors, was Braided Grain
People’s Award, chosen by you was Kate Sampson Ceramics
Many congratulations to them all.
As the Festival site is cleared, we’ll be taking a short break before building up Craft Festival Wales at Cardigan Castle from September 11-13th. Hope to see you there!

PS Next year’s Craft Festival Bovey Tracey dates are June 11-13, 2027. Applications will open in late September.
