Bringing Craft Festival to Wales, and to my hometown of Cardigan, has been my dream for so long. I am passionate by this very special corner of West Wales and I’d love you to join me there.
For 20 years my team have been hosting award winning contemporary crafts events around the UK. And for the first Craft Festival Wales is coming home to Cardigan Castle this September.
We had a huge response when we opened applications and it was wonderful seeing some Craft Festival favourites and new-to-us makers applying. The selectors had a tough job!
80 professional makers were selected to exhibit and demonstrate their creative skills at the show and you can look them up now.
And they will be travelling to Cardigan from both near and far… in fact, from all corners of Wales and beyond and we can’t wait for you to meet them.
There will also be free children’s craft activities, live music and theatre, talks, masterclasses, storytelling, workshops, Welsh language lessons, Sculpture Trail from Carmarthen School of Art & Coleg Ceredigion, lovely food and even some very special guests, which will be announced soon.
You can also take in an exhibition of museum quality ceramics at Canfas Gallery and The Craft Town Trail in association with Oriel Myrddin is hosted at local business throughout Cardigan Town.
