2 Weeks until Craft Festival

Hello!

Hope this finds you very well? There is just 2 weeks until Craft Festival Bovey Tracey.

We are delighted that QEST CEO, Deborah Pocock LVO, agreed to choose her 5 Favourites from this year’s line up of makers.

We have worked with QEST for a number of years and it’s been a great honour and lots of fun! Thanks to everyone at QEST for their hard work and dedication to promoting and supporting making.

Please read on to discover Deborah’s 5 Favourites from Craft Festival Bovey Tracey.

You can buy your tickets in advance online or in person at Make Southwest in Bovey Tracey.

See you soon!

Addicted to Patterns

Justyna’s hand-painted and hand-printed wall hangings are a real stand-out for me; combining true craftsmanship and a vivid imagination – lots of bold patterns and colours. We’re very proud that Justyna is a QEST Scholar.

Angus Wood Blacksmith

I like the fact that Angus combines contemporary methods and traditional blacksmithing techniques in his hand-forged home and kitchenwares. I particularly like the ergonomic shapes and the fact that he aims to recycle and repurpose as much metal as possible.

GR Hawes

I’m fascinated by the glassblowing technique. Graeme’s work is beautiful – I love the vibrant colours and shapes he produces. I need to own a piece!

Rosemary Jacks

I love the quirky, fun and functional design of Rosemary’s ceramics – particularly those pieces with elephants! Looking at these pieces made me smile.

Tom Moy Studio

The furniture that Tom produces is aesthetically beautiful – clean, simple lines – and using the highest standards of craftsmanship. The tree-planting initiative is admirable – with 10 trees planted for every piece of furniture the Studio creates.

FINAL WORKSHOPS PLACES!

The last workshop places are available! Many workshops are sold out so do not wait!

You can learn to make stitched paper sculpture with the fabulous, Jennifer Collier, darning and mending with Darn Good Studio, stone carving with Maria Moorhouse from Sculptworks and leather work with Rocworx Designs.
