Cambrian Wool originated as part of a King Charles project raising the profile of wool in the Cambrian Mountains Region of Wales in 2010. Part of the initial project, Suzi worked on a scoping study (later proven) to see if it was possible to procure a fine, soft quality 100% Welsh wool from the region and to make it commercially available (i.e. consistent quality, price and repeatable). She is now a licensee of British wool and her yarn is fully traceable. The farmers who supply her fibre receive a premium per kilo. From this project a hand knit yarn was developed which is sold directly to consumers and via retailers across the UK.
Suzi has developed a weaving yarn producing blankets for Burberry & in collaboration with Melin Tregwynt to JW Anderson. Developing weaving yarn has allowed Suzi to design and bring to market, her own in-house designs for blankets, scarves and bags.
