I create intricate porcelain dioramas that emphasise our ancient and deep connection with nature and animals, portraying their beauty, individuality, and spirit in a playful, gentle way, while inviting us to see them as beings deserving of respect and compassion. My work, infused with wonder and magic, encourages a rediscovery of childlike curiosity and joy, offering a safe space to reflect on how we can move forwards living a more interconnected life with the world around us.” Since graduating from Manchester School of Art in 2012 my work has evolved from creating porcelain wearables to now creating highly detailed, small scale, ceramic dioramas, that feature miniature enchanted animals who dwell within them.
