Getting to Cardigan

Craft Festival Wales is held in Cardigan Castle in Cardigan, Ceredigion

  • Follow our AA Signs to our free Park & Ride.
  • Nearest train station: Carmarthen. Great Western Railway run an hourly service from London Paddington to Swansea with connection to Carmarthen.  
  • Regular buses from Carmarthen Station to Cardigan. You can find the bus timetable here
  • Car Hire is available in Carmarthen. Information here

Yes! Acccompanied carers are warmly welcomed free of charge. Accompanied Children Under 18 are also free.

We provide a Free Park and Ride service. Follow our AA Signs.

You can find our Park & Ride at the Cardigan Show Ground (on the A487 towards Fishguard).

The service runs from Cardigan Castle from 9:30am until 5.15pm, 10-13 September. The last bus leaves at 5:15pm.

The Park and Ride bus is wheelchair friendly.

There are additional, fee paying carparks in Cardigan. The nearest is on Quay Street. 

There is no on-site parking at the Castle. Use our free Park and Ride, which drops you outside the Castle. The nearest pay-and-display car park is at the bottom of Quay Street

YES! Good food is a big part of the Craft Festival experience.  Tuck into locally sourced, imaginative street food and drink while the music plays. 

Yes! Most paths around the Castle are level and wheelchair friendly. There’s a gentle decline through the Kitchen Garden and a sweeping incline as you exit the Kitchen Garden to head back up to the Castle Green. 

There is a lift in Castle Green House to access the upper floors. 

Yes, a wheelchair is available for visitors. Please ask at the Castle Reception. Call ahead to reserve on 01239 615131 or email info@cardigancastle.com

Yes, BSL interpretation is available at all Capital of Craft talks.

Only service dogs are allowed inside the Castle during events.

Absolutely. Guide and hearing dogs are very welcome, and carers accompanying disabled visitors enter free of charge.

Yes, we have a water point near to the entrance of Castle Green House.

Chairs are situated throughout the event.

Please don’t hesitate to ask any of our friendly stewards for assistance. First Aid support is available throughout the event.
