THANK YOU FOR BEING PART OF CRAFT FESTIVAL
What A Weekend!
Thank you for being part of Craft Festival's 18th Anniversary and making it extra special.
The weather was a bit of drama queen over the weekend. Crazy hot on Friday, Thunder and Lighting on Saturday evening and then, on Sunday, positively chilly! Well done for coping with the extremes of weather conditions that make Bovey so special!
Thank you for being one of 8000 wonderful visitors over the weekend. 500 young people enjoyed craft workshops and Keith Brymer-Jones' generous spirit had audiences enthralled. We hosted 24 workshops and had more demonstrations of making than ever before. Did you have a favourite?
We gave out some awards at the weekend too. The winners were:
Best Stand, Simon Olley, potter. Simon receives a free stand in 2023 and membership of Find a Maker.
Best Maker from the South West, Sasha Wardell, potter. Sasha receives a free stand in 2023.
Best New Business, Francisca Onumah, metal. Fran receives a free membership of Find a Maker.
The Tony Piper Memorial Award presented by Make South West, Tapp on Wood. Jonny receives a showcase at Make South West HQ in Bovey Tracey.
The Byre Gallery Award. Liz O'Dwyer, potter. Liz receives a showcase at The Byre Gallery, Millbrook, Cornwall.
Many congratulations to them all.
Our Huge Thanks also goes to our amazing exhibitors, tutors, performers, sponsors, speakers, traffic marshals, loo cleaners, table clearers, demonstrators, splendid volunteers, caterers, security team, musicians, electricians, marquee team, shell scheme crew, facilities suppliers, set-up and maintenance team, furniture and prop suppliers, all our lovely supporters and the people and businesses of Bovey Tracey.
