Plymouth College of Arts Laura Wasley chooses her 5 Festival Favourites
Written: 28 April 2016
Laura is Principal Lecturer in Contemporary Craft, 3D Design.
I’ve chosen 4 Alumni from Plymouth College of Art and this is an exciting time for us. I love to come back to the Festival to see how they are flourishing in their practice and Sue Pryke’s ceramics is my craft envy!
Eleanor Jane Jewellery
Eleanor graduated last year and scooped up 4 awards alongside being selected for Tent, London. I can’t wait to see her collection of plated geometric jewellery
Tracy Falvey Contemporary Jewellery
Tracy’s vibrant, sculptural and recycled silver jewellery is always so fresh looking every year.
Lynsey Brooks Jewellery
Looking forward to seeing PCA Alumni, Lynsey Brooks new collection of intriguing combination of metal, stones and bead woven jewellery.
Dan Chapple
Our technician Dan Chapple is our master at Raku and his beautiful sculptural wheel formed Raku ceramics is a go to at the fair.
Sue Pryke
Sue’s work is beautiful and minimal but keeping that artisanal aesthetic. Everything about her work is sublime!!
Meet all of Laura’s favourites at The Contemporary Craft Festival, June 10-12, Bovey Tracey, Devon
Plymough College of Art’s graduate shows run from June 11-24
