Louise Jones-Williams, from Llantarnam Grange Arts Centre chooses her 5 Favourites from Made by Hand
I haven't come across Jack's work before and love the bold geometric shapes in fine porcelain. The contemporary pastel shades complement the shapes and the work includes planters for the table and wall, as well as candle holders and lights.
We selected Hatton Willow to receive our "Showcase Award" at last year's Made by Hand and she will be showing with us in October. Her woven intricate patterns give a traditional craft and very contemporary twist.
This beautiful jewellery has an other-worldly, fairy tale feel with a highly skilled use of gold, silver and semi-precious stones. She first showed at LGAC almost 20 years ago following her graduation from Hereford.
Victoria was selected for our student show Portal last year. She uses juxtaposition of rough stone and highly polished metal to create striking pieces which combine the primitive with fine craftsmanship.
We are proud to say Sian is another one of our Portal exhibitors from a few years ago. Her work and business has gone on to thrive, with her beautiful combination of traditional patterns and techniques with contemporary colour ways and designs.
