Craft Festival Wales wins Event of the Year
Written: 18 December 2024
Merry Christmas from Craft Festival & Find a Maker
Hello,
I hope this finds you well? We've come to the end of another extraordinary year.
We warmly welcomed visitors to our live events in Bovey Tracey and Cheltenham.
We also launched a new festival in my home town of Cardigan. Craft Festival Wales at Cardigan Castle was a HUGE hit with over 3500 visitors joining us at Cardigan Castle. Last week, we were delighted to be awarded Event of The Year (Community) at the Caru Ceredigion Awards. Caru mean Love in Welsh, and we mostly certainly Love Ceredigion. Thank you for giving us this award, it means a huge amount.
I want to thank all our visitors, makers, supporters, sponsors, selectors, volunteers, teachers, demonstrators, suppliers, venues and contractors.
Find a Maker has also grown and we now represent over 450 of the finest makers.
We also broadcast a new season of The Capital of Craft podcast. You can listen here.
Everything we do is a team effort and I particularly wanted to thank Make South West, QEST, Oriel Myrddin, Heritage Crafts, Theatre Mwldan, Charlie Gladstone and Llantarnam Grange Arts Centre for all their support, proving that Together, We are Stronger.
And to my lovely Family and to my amazing team Nina, Kate, Susan and Niamh. Thank you.
As we head into our 21st Year, we are looking forward to Preparing to Sell on Tour in Cardigan, Bovey and Hereford.
And if you need any last minute gifts tickets to Craft Festival Cheltenham in March and Craft Festival Bovey in June are availble now.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas & a very Happy New Year.
With warm wishes,
Sarah
