Craft Festival Bovey Tracey and Cheltenham Postponed until 2021
Writing this message has been incredibly tough. But I am sure that it comes as no surprise.
I’ve been following all the Government updates and in order to protect you, our exhibitors, our staff and the towns of Bovey Tracey and Cheltenham, we have decided to postpone both events until next year.
Next year’s dates are Craft Festival Cheltenham March 12-14th 2021 and Craft Festival June 11-13th, 2021.
We’ve built up our events since 2004, welcoming thousands of makers and visitors, like you, to join us in the beautiful settings of Bovey Tracey’s Mill Marsh Park and Cheltenham's Town Hall. As I am sure you can imagine, social distancing does not work in these situations with so many lovely people in one place.
We apologise for any disappointment we may cause but I hope you understand that it's been a very difficult decision to make but we feel it's the best decision for everyone. We have contacted all exhibitors and ticket holders. All your tickets and workshop bookings are valid for the event, with the new dates. You do not need to do anything.
As Nina, Fran and Kate have been furloughed, I have been working solo, so please accept my apologies if communication is a little slower than usual.
If you would like to support us, the best way to do that, is to buy next year’s tickets now, by Clicking Here.
On a more positive note, with the support of Arts Council England, we will be taking this opportunity to launch a Digital Craft Festival on June 26-28th. In an attempt to salvage some positivity from the crisis and to support the hundreds of small businesses, will we host a 3 day event, online. We exist to support contemporary makers of craft and we hope our loyal visitors will join us, online, for a weekend of talks with makers, demonstrations, workshops, films, music and even Yoga. More details will follow soon.
All of us at The Craft Festival Team would like to thank you all sincerely for your support. We offer our heartfelt thanks to all exhibitors, visitors, workshop leaders, demonstrators, musicians, food sellers, contractors, sponsors, volunteers, the people of Bovey Tracey & Cheltenham and Craft Festival staff for your understanding and support.
Yours sincerely,
Sarah James
