Cheltenham We Love You
A big part of why Craft Festival in Cheltenham has been such a success has been the stunning town itself. Cheltenham is visually beautiful, very friendly and teaming with gorgeous independent businesses. One of those is Paragon Gallery, a fine and applied art gallery, a short walk from Cheltenham Town Hall. We asked, Paragon Gallery manager, James Pilsworth to cast his discerning eye over our Craft Festival Makers and here are his choices.
The dazzling array of mark-making in Tim Slatter's etchings creates a totally immersive sense of depth. You can almost feel his expansive landscapes opening out beneath your feet.
We love the freshness and energy of Russell's slipware. It's a fabulous fusion of an ancient tradition and contemporary style.
Amanda's hand-printed fabric pieces are a sublime, almost mystical exploration of the natural world. The ethereal beauty of these artworks is breathtaking.
Tom's pottery possesses a profound dignity that gives each piece an aura of grace and intrigue.
The poise and elegance of Graeme's glass stands in stark contrast to the brutal process of creation. The ingenuity of form and colour is dazzling.
Be sure to visit Paragon Gallery when you are next in Cheltenham.
